Glossary of Real Estate and Mortgage Terms

Warranty deed

A deed used to convey real property and contains warranties of title and quiet possession and by which the grantor agrees to defend the property against any lawful claims of third persons.
The warranty deed is commonly used in many states but in others the grant deed has replaced it because of the recent practice of securing title insurance policies which have reduced the importance of express and implied warranty in deeds.

Water rights

The collective or corporate rights to a water supply or a guarantee of access to a body of water which is close at hand.

A group supported by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) that provides support, books and educational programs for women REALTORS® who are interested in residential brokerage.

...mission accomplished, Liz. Two more and then the finale. The whole shabang on one page. I've given up music for lexicography (at least while I'm here in the coffee shop by the University of Memphis). I don't have to listen to Max play the piano....at least till I get home. Did you ever try to sleep while a cat is practicing scales on a piano at 2:30 am? He's getiing ready for the cookie recital....he plays for me and I give him a cookie, every night. When he plays, it sounds like the soundtrack from a Vincent Price film. What makes it even more difficult is when I sit down to practice on one piano and he jumps up on the other to play duets. When I play Katchaturian's 'Sabre Dance' he has an office chair that he loves that he'll jump up on and spin around on like he's stuck in a turnstile. He's a mindblower.

He plays the piano while I blog.
