Big Changes Are Coming To ActiveRain! We’ve been warned!

Tom Arstingstall is a contractor from Sacramento, California. Tom welcomes change, especially if those changes are for the good and welfare of the community at-large and don't impede progress. Here's his fine blog post.

Big Changes Are Coming To ActiveRain!

We’ve been warned!

There are times when surprises can be fun: Bonus money, old friends visiting, even birthday parties. Those things that you don’t see coming that bring joy to the day can be a real memorable and welcomed event. But surprises aren’t always welcomed. In business for example, a surprise can be disruptive, frustrating, and costly.

The Curtain of Change!

Here at ActiveRain we experience changes on an ongoing basis! The staff seems to be constantly looking to make improvements to better serve its members. In the past, these changes have sometimes been well announced, other times almost without warning.

For me, change takes a while to get used to.  Get into the habit of being almost robotic in my blogging; not the content but the navigation around the site. When change occurs, I have to relearn and make adjustments. Often times things are no longer available, and I’m disappointed. Of course, there have been new features that make navigation easier too.

We usually learn of these changes from the posts that seem to come out after the staff unveils their works. You know what I mean… the late night curtain with the vague text of improvements to the site. Then the curtain is removed and we get to see and read about the changes. This creates uproar many times because of a lack of warning.

Well, we have been warned!

Warning of Changes to ActiveRain!

There are big changes coming, you probably received an e-mail stating this. It may be a bit incomplete in its description, but at least we know it is coming. I have buckled up my seatbelt, and am ready to learn some new tricks. How about you?

Did you receive the e-mail?

Are you ready for the Big Changes Coming to ActiveRain?
