David Saks: When it comes to cars, is there ever really a deal?

When it comes to cars, is there ever really a deal?

ActiveRain member Roger D, Mucci is a man with good common sense when it comes to consumer affairs, as he demonstrates with a few well written words about being pragmatic when considering a new car.

When it comes to cars, is there ever really a deal?

This morning I received a notice in the mail from my Subaru Dealer.  Seems like they are experiencing a shortage of pre-owned Subaru Legacy's and they want my car.  They also plan on making me an offer I can't refuse.

Since it's my day off and I'll be in the neighborhood, I'm going to go check  out this deal.

For some reason, I think I may be able to refuse it.

The reason.....my wallet.

David, thanks for the re-blog, but I have to tell you, they did make me an offer I couldn't refuse.  I drove in with a 2012 Subaru Legacy with a quarter of a tank of gas and 20,000 miles on it.  I drove out with a brand new 2014 Subaru Legacy with 24 miles on it, a full tank of gas, no out of pocket money and my payments only increased by $16.00 per month.

Nice ending to a happy story, Roger. You did good, and didn't need Vito Corleone and Tom Hagen to negotiate the deal.
