HUD Sent Me This Message Today From Their Public Affairs Office

This came in the mail today.

------------------------

Hello,

As you may know, the Federal government’s spending authority expired at midnight, Monday, September 30th, 2013.

Therefore, most HUD programs have been temporarily interrupted and most HUD employees have been told they cannot work.

We will not be able to check accounts or respond to questions during the shutdown.

Barack Obama

We look forward to responding to your messages when we return to work and regret any inconvenience the government shutdown may cause.

:-) Fred.

I can't take a donkey ride in the state park.

I'm livid.

Pretty sad state of affairs.  It's time all of these guys get together and work out a compromise.

David, this is a strange time, and sure hope those in Washington get it together soon, so real estate and the nation can get back to normal.

I hope so, Joan. I'd, at the very least, like to be able to take a donkey ride at Yosemite.
