David, that was wonderful.  I don't know if I would get that close to a bear.

Holy crap!  I hope this doesn't inspire others to try training a bear.  I doubt it would go well.  But that is amazing.

Like Yogi he is smarter than the average bear

I'd get close to "Bear" Bryant, Kathy :-) That's one smart bear, though.

It might inspire someone to take a bear home for dinner tonight, Chris. Wouldn't it be great to have the bear entertain at your next Realtor event, open house or kids birthday party ?

I'm sure BooBoo would agree, Noah.

Good morning David. This is incredible but on some level, it made me sad. The character of the animal is no longer their own. I don't go to the circus anymore.

Well trained, but I agree with Sheila: no longer his own anima.
Posted by Carol Zingone, Global Realtor in Jax Beach, FL - ABR, CRS, CIPS (Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Network Realty) almost 7 years ago

I kind of agree, Sheila. But he sure would be a hit at the next wedding or bar mitzvah party. Just think what a great chess or bridge companion he'd make. And if anyone accused you of cheating he'd make the perfect bodyguard. And on those lonely weekends if you didn't want to go to the disco alone he'd be the perfect escort. And a great dancer, too !

Yeah, but he's so sweet, Carol. I'd love to bring him back here to the blighted and crime ravaged community I work in to dine on the villains.

David, it makes me wonder if he works for a circus or something!
Posted by Silvia Dukes PA, Broker Associate, CRS, CIPS, SRES, Florida Waterfront and Country Club Living (Tropic Shores Realty - Ich spreche Deutsch!) almost 7 years ago

I'd be surprised if he doesn't, Silvia, at least part time. I'm sure he must be able to sign his name on a contract.

David....I think it is sad.

The bear is probably cared for better than most humans, Sheila. He'd pronbably have been killed by poachers, or something worse, if he hadn't been rescued. The applause and adulation of such a remarkable creature is overwhelming, albeit perhaps a bit disheartening that he's removed from his natural habitat.
