David I have always been a Tom Waits fan. I like all kinds of music and this man is a genius. His song writing is heavy to say the least. A musicians musician. I remember once about 20 years ago there were stories that he slept in a transient hotel while playing in Chicago at the Park West to "live the life"

Was it a stunt or the real Tom Waits?

A true artist.

He came to Memphis to play back in the mid to late 70's, Noah, and I hung out with him for a couple of hours near the campus. He put on a great show. The story about the hotel in Chicago is probably authentic :-) He really is a genius. I'll play it on my show at the university tonight.

David, I was waiting for him to touch on some real estate - like "this one won't last" - and it's been on the markete 200 days :) Humorous and heavy at the same time.

Love it, Sharon and Frank :-)  He opens with, "You too can be the proud owner of the quality hotel that your name goes on". The first time I heard this tune I laughed so hard I needed oxygen. It knocked the wind out of me. Always happy to hear from you. Have a fantastic Fourth !
