David, my daughter is a music major in college. She has played the piano since she was 5. This is an event we would definitely take advantage of if we lived in Memphis.

Seeing and hearing Arthur perform the works of Frederic Chopin on the Horowitz Steinway, which is a priceless instrument, could be compared to seeing Haley's Comet pass by, Tammie. It's once in a lifetime. Arthur is considered one of the world's great Chopin artists. He graduated from Julliard and won the International Chopin Competition in his early twenties. At the age of eighteen, he played the entire Beethoven piano sonata cycle, consisting of 32 sonatas, by memory in a marathon performance. He's a prodigy and possesses brilliant musical skills that you'll never forget. If you could bring your family, it's worth the trip. Cheers....

The Horowitz Steinway concert grand piano is that which all the others are measured, to concert pianists, Sheila.

The Steinway model D is the greatest of the Steinway & Sons line. For over a hundred years, it was the piano of choice for most all concert pianists. It is still the favorite today. It's 8′11¾″ long, 61¼″ wide, and 990 pounds. It's believed that, world-wide, more than 90% of all classical concerts are performed on Steinway D’s and preferred by most all of the world's orchestras.

One built in 1887 was sold by Christie's for $1.2 million. A retail price was set by Steinway for a new one at $390,000.

The Horowitz piano is priceless.

I own two Steinway vertical grands. One built in 1891, the other constructed in 1907.
