How Can We Live Without Our Electronic Life Style?

Noah summed it up rather well in the title. His condensed, yet substantive, blog entry demonstrates the level of dependency we attach to the devices that govern the behaviour and direction of our business and personal lives, every single day. Glad he's working on a solution and will be up and running again soon.

Yesterday I had showings starting at 11:30 and the weather was predicted to be very stormy and windy but it seemed ok when I left home. As soon as we finished the first condo the wind and rain kicked in so hard that even the umbrella did not help us from getting soaked. It turned inside out from the force of the rain.

When driving between properties we put on the weather channel and they were talking about evacuating the Bears game it was so bad. They finally were able to play after a delay. We made it through all the showings very wet.

I came home to a power failure and when everything came back up my computer internet equipment was fried. All I had was my cell phone for communications. My how we take our technology for granted until we lose it.

I am completely down and have to use my offices connection until a new cable modem and router arrive in the next day or so.

Because of this I apologize for the quality of my blogs and comments. You people have been so nice to me and I owe many comments to the great Active Rain friends I have.

Active Rain seems like a fitting name after what happened to me, boy was the rain active.
