Mortgage Company Discovers Dead Woman Inside Home While Changing Locks

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-

The Shelby County Sheriff's office is investigating the death of a woman found dead in a PUD-attached home at 7700 Shadowland Drive.

Sheriff's Deputies say that around 3 pm Sunday a woman was found dead in the home.

The woman, according to deputies is Hispanic and in her 40's.

She was found by officials from the mortgage company who had come to the home to change the locks.

Deputies are waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. 

A preliminary investigation indicates that the body had been in the house for lengthy period of time.
